The Sharks move on from their last loss with a 4-2 win against the Danbury Westerners.

The Sharks were back in Martha’s Vineyard to take on the Westerners in an exciting matchup. Both sides of the ball played very well for the Sharks. The offense was getting on base consistently and the four pitchers struck out eighteen batters. It was truly a great all around game for the Sharks. Danbury was first on the board with a sacrifice fly to right field to give them an early lead. The Sharks wasted no time to rebuttal and quickly got the bases loaded. Matt Maloney was brought home after a walk from Danbury’s pitcher. The score was tied 1-1 going into the 2nd. In the top of the 5th inning Danbury took their lead back. A single brought home their second run of the game. The Sharks were behind 2-1 going into the bottom half of the inning. In the top of the 6th the Sharks took out Ronaldo Gallo. Jack Beauchesne took over on the mound with hopes to keep Danbury at bay. In the bottom of the 6th inning the Sharks offense took off. Henry Wallen knocked a deep single to bring home the tying run. Not long after the Westerners left fielder made a costly error that brought home two more runs for the Sharks. Martha’s Vineyard led 4-2 going into the 7th inning. In the top of the 7th inning Alejandro Torres was called out to take over on the mound. He immediately struck out a batter to end the inning. The score remained 4-2. The game remained scoreless but the Sharks new they had to close it out. Camron Hill, who has been unstoppable on the mound, was subbed in to finish off Danbury. He faced three batters and struck them all out. Yet another great performance from Cam Hill and another great win for the Sharks.
